please excuse monica

dear internets,

due to circumstances beyond her control monica may be forced to disappoint the universe and not complete this crazy nablopomo thing.  it seem she is currently lacking internet at her house.  her internet went out just hours after the homeowner of the house her family rents was informed that her family would be moving and not renewing their lease.  coincidence?  maybe.  maybe not.

monica will do her best to fulfill her commitment to post everyday for the next 30 days.  about nothing.  because that is what she posts about most often.  it might mean frequent trips to the local wawee where she will be forced to drink pretty coffee.  it could get ugly.  but, she will persevere.  her dedication is best summed up in the words of winston churchill:

i have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. we have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind.

thank you for your understanding in these trying times.

  2. That is horrible. I hope that it’s coincidence. Good luck fighting the good fight.

“The direct use of force (or turning off internet) is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations.”
    David Friedman

as i sit here drinking my pretty coffee i’m leaning in the not a coincidence direction…

and i agree – poor, poor solution. seeing as we still owe 2 months rent!
