going to the chapel

michael and i went to a wedding on saturday. it was beautiful. the church, the weather, the bride, the groom. it all was wonderful. it was a christian service and very similar to the kind of service we are used to. except, all in thai. luckily, i do understand enough thai that i could keep up with where they were in the service, even if i couldn’t understand exactly what the pastor was saying.

i did notice one big difference, but i wasn’t surprised by it. there was no “you may kiss the bride” moment.

after the service there was a delicious thai dinner. and my favorite part of any wedding – cake. i haven’t had cake in a while. and it was good.

  1. Awwww…. 25 points to you for spreading the love.

25 points. i love points. especially when i have more points than my husband!! 😀

  2. That looks like REAL cake! How did it taste. The cake in Belarus and here in Azerbaijan is not too tasty. Kind of dry, not real sweet and the icing is blah. I miss good old lard icing.

it was real, honest to goodness cake. and it was good!! no butter cream icing, which would have made it great, but still good.
