the carnage – a re-enactment

cuz someone said pictures were needed.

this is almost exactly – i mean it is so very, very close – to what actually happened, it’s not even funny!

first, he appeared out of no where and looked all menacing.

then he rounded up his prey and made threats – and i’m not talking veiled threats here. they were saying anything to try to stop the inevitable.

and then he picked them off, in pairs. he said he’s always been a fan of the buddy system.

he started with the skunk and the panda – oh, it was gruesome!

next, he took out the chinchilla and the lamb, the poor defenseless creatures.

and, for his last course, he had the pony and the baby seal. yes, he did.

and – if it wasn’t enough that we had to witness this – look what he left behind. and who do you think had to clean that mess up?

and then, later that night, he was eyeing us. giving our toes a once over. thinking they might make a good midnight snack.

  1. this may be your best post ever!!! i think the last picture is for real and it is frightening! dont they have something to drive that thing away at the home depot or whatever the local hardware/garden store is? I could not handle that thing looking at me with those eyes!

that last picture is for real!! and creepy.

  2. Hey girl! Mike T gave me a link to your blog. I so did not know you guys had moved overseas! Hopefully later I’ll have time to catch up on all your archives. I’m off to work for now. Come on over to our blog and see what we’re up to.
    Sharon and Kevin

i peeked around a little, will have to return when i have a bit more time. i can’t believe how big your kids are!

  3. I’m not sure it’s healthy how funny I thought Little Pet Shops getting eaten was. Revenge for when I’ve stepped on them in the middle of the night!

exactly. pet shops are not as nice as some might think!!

  4. The pictures and commentary are great, but still not as funny of the pictures I had in my head of you and your mom!!

i knew there was absolutely no way to re-enact our reaction. so i didn’t even try! 😀

  5. okay now I am totally freaking out cause we found a snake about 12 feet long by the garage this afternoon! we are so moving first one in the house now one trying to get in the garage! not having it! I keep thinking about you and the snakes in the trees

what kind of snake?? and one in the house – when and how big was he?? i hate reptiles!

  6. we think it is a brown water snake I think 12 feet might be a bit of an exaggeration but this was no garter snake! this one is outside, the one that was in the bathroom was about 3 years ago and he was tiny and harmless although i find them all evil! b says it is gone since Wheels was out barking his head off! i however am never parking in the back again and am afraid to open the garage or go inside in case he decided that he should take refuge in there. by the way is nanny still there we havent seen any new pics in a couple of days!

okay, now i remember the one from in the house. and i’m sure the one outside is gone, or it’s just lying in wait to eat your miniature dachshund… and, yes, nanny is still here i’ve just been very bad about pictures.
