  1. Ok, I’m so now feeling the need to send you a care package! You need cookies, chips and salsa, anything else from the Lone Star State?

  2. Seems as though you’ve got some challenges ahead … but are making the best of things. I’m reminded of my ‘camping’ days & learning to cook on a Coleman stove. No way to use a crockpot out in the woods, however. Nice ‘Ku!
    Hugs and blessings,

  3. I don’t know how you do it! I have a hard enough time cooking on a 1950’s GE stove top with something called rotisserie setting. WTF? I can’t imagine no stove, new types of food, and total culture shock. I agree with the others, a crockpot might be the way to go.

    Those were great hiku’s!

  4. wow…can’t even imagine that! i’ve had a hard enough time trying to go from my old bare-bones stove to my new one in the new house. completely different!

have you thought of getting a toaster oven? not sure if they are available there, but i have one that i can back pies and cookies in. pizza too.

thanks for stopping by my place! it put a smile on my face! 😉

  5. I use my crock pot all the time! No oven? For real? That is nuts. I guess while in Thailand, you gotta learn to cook Thai.

  6. I didn’t have an oven when I lived in Japan, and I missed it, too! I tried doing some steaming thing once to make what became known as the F**in’ Muffins because they didn’t really work out the same. At all. As in not edible. I also didn’t have a crock pot, so you are ahead of the game! Some of the best meals come out of the crock pot, I think.

  7. I love cooking in a wok b/c it cooks evenly even if the fire is not. Perhaps that will work?

So bizarre to see two posts for Sunday, when it’s still Saturday here!
