shortly after moving into our house we lost s’mores. searched and searched and searched and she was no where to be found. just as i’d given up hope and come to the certainty that she was not in our yard - that she’d wandered out into the thailand wilderness – or maybe down the street to the restaurant – michael and his eagle eyes came to the rescue. he saw her. looking all sad and cold and miserable.
i think maybe หวาน (wăan) pushed her in. (i’ve decided i should use his thai name, since he’s a thai dog. you know, keep him more connected with his roots.)
she didn’t bark, not once. just sat in the cold, murky, slimy water shivering. and then she had a cold bath.
she hasn’t ventured near the pond again.

Awww, that’s such a sad picture. Glad she’s safe and sound.
PS Stay away from that restaurant.
she is safe and she stays clear of the pond. maybe she’s smart, too?
Even Thai dogs are all about mei pen rai.
true. most of them anyway. i did learn the other day that walking down the street with bacon in your hand is the same thing as an engraved invitation to soi dogs!
