on my bed – two piles of clothes to be sorted, folded and packed into the two empty backpacks beside my bed
on the couch in the hall – baggies of stuff. shampoo, liquid laundry detergent for hand washing unmentionables, body soap, sunscreen, medications for headaches, belly aches, motion sickness, antiseptic, band aids, hydration packets, mosquito spray. which all need to be packed with the clothes that are sitting on my bed waiting to be sorted, folded and packed into the two empty backpacks beside my bed
at the desk in the office – me. sitting on my computer not dealing with the baggies of stuff. shampoo, liquid laundry detergent for hand washing unmentionables, body soap, sunscreen, medications for headaches, belly aches, motion sickness, antiseptic, band aids, hydration packets, mosquito spray that on the couch in the hall which all need to be packed with the clothes that are sitting on my bed waiting to be sorted, folded and packed into the two empty backpacks beside my bed.
maybe i should do something, maybe.
I still have suitcases to unpack, clothes to wash, etc., from the last hospital stay. I commiserate with yer lack of enthusiasm. Now get busy. Hey mon, didya see how I used commiserate? I’m so cool. (grin)
yeah, that’s some commiserating you’re doing. i did get busy and got through one pile and got one backpack mostly ready to go. but then realized i have no idea where all of our socks have gone…
I’m queen of procrastinating as well. It will all get done, right?
Sorry it’s going to be so insanely hot there. Be careful. Who knows, maybe a good old-fashioned US summer won’t be so bad after the places you’ve been.
Maybe you should plan your next trip home to the states during the winter so you can really get a bit of culture shock.

winter, snow… wouldn’t that be lovely!! the fun thing is i think we go from 100 degrees to 100 degrees. what can i say, i know how to plan!
it will for sure be 100 degrees here! its already blazing hot at 10:48am. walked outside this morning what was i thinking! have fun on your big adventure!
forgot about texas in summer… we’re just going from one hot season to another.
do you want to know the temperature this June day in Colorado? i think the high was 76 degrees . right now at 11:30p its a dry 66.9… had to give you something to look forward to weather-wise.
“it (was) like ‘africa’ hot” when I was in TX a couple of weeks ago and apparently, I am a light weight these days. there was a horrible thunderstorm (3rd worst recorded) and we all survived, as you will. i heard that survival mode is great for your body! ;^)
feels like india here! hot. sweaty. hot.
