four wheels at my beck and call
but nowhere to go

Glad to hear it wasn’t completely horrible, and just knowing you have wheels is a a good thing, whether you have anywhere to go or not. Funny how that is, but it is.

Twenty dollars??? Wow! I can’t even imagine what that would have cost stateside. Twenty dollars wouldn’t even cover them coming to the house. I’m sure your weekend is looking up.
Hope you’ve been able to pick up some olympic coverage, we’ve done great. I don’t even watch sports any other time, but I love the olympics.
i know. i was thinking that too – i can’t even imagine them coming to the house at all in the states!!

Last week I was stranded too… but mine wasn’t a repair problem! My son stole my keys and hid them from me… it took me SIX days to find them. Silly boy.

Well haiku’d. I think you would have to add two zeroes to the end of that price to have that done here in San Diego and you would have to figure out how to get the broken car to them and then have to figure out how to get home.
My car only breaks when I have somewhere to go. If its in tip-top shape I must be out of town without it.
the whole house call thing amazes me and then the taking my husband to the airport at 5am the next morning because we were carless part – that’s just wow!
